The Munich Centre for Global History is host to an impressive array of researchers on all levels of academic qualifications who conduct their projects within the environs of the centre. These include LMU faculty members as well as researchers who have joined the centre on temporary research fellowships.

The centre is governed by a steering committee whose composition testifies to the interdisciplinary nature of the centre's research approach. The committee is headed by a speaker. The scientific coordinator ensures the smooth operation of the centre.
