Further Information

Fellow during the summer term 2021

Ismay Milford is a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, where she is part of the Leverhulme Trust-funded project 'Another World? East Africa and the Global 1960s [1]' and a member of the Edinburgh Centre for Global History [2].
While at the LMU, she will be working on her book manuscript, provisionally titled _East and Central African activists and the making of a global anticolonial culture_. The monograph traces the work and thought of a cohort of activists as they travel between New Delhi, London, Cairo and Accra in the 1950s-60s. She will be presenting one book chapter, which explores ideas about conspiracy and their relevance for navigating Cold War internationalisms, to the Colloquium.
